According to the Sandwich High School website: "The mission of Sandwich High School is to provide a safe and supportive student-focused environment, which challenges all students to strive toward their individual potential by offering a sound, diverse educational program with a variety of co-curricular learning opportunities. Sandwich High School fosters and values effort, integrity, and self-discipline to prepare students for lifelong learning in a changing global society."
The Blue Knights are a Division 2 school, with some sports in Division 3. They participate in the Atlantic Coast League of the MIAA. The most successful teams at the school are Boy's Hockey, Baseball, and Boy's Soccer. The boys hockey team won the D-II State Championship in 2008. They defeated Wilmington by a score of 1-0. The boy's baseball team is always a top contender in the state tournament year in and year out. And the boy's soccer team recently made it to the D-II State Semi-Finals in 2009 and 2010.
